Financial inclusion for the elderly, powered by Visa.
Familiarity Card explores financial inclusion through the lens of familiarity, dignity and independence. Designed for elderly users in Singapore, the project reimagines the Visa card as more than a means of payment, integrating considered safeguards and accessible features to support users who may experience dementia or physical difficulties.
By responding to established behaviours and varying levels of independence, Familiarity Card seeks to make participation in an increasingly digital payment landscape more intuitive, secure and reassuring while preserving the user’s sense of autonomy.
Developed as part of the Visa Designathon 2024, the project was awarded the Overall Winner Prize.
